About The Position
To increase student success and retention through collaborative learning. The location will depend on which campus the SI/Peer Tutoring supported class is taught. Hardin Valley campus will use the SI Room, Peer Tutoring Math Lab, and/or Study Rooms in the ERC. Other locations vary.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and completion of tutored subject area with a grade of “B” or better (for Peer Tutor).
- Completion of tutored subject area with a grade of “B” or better (for Tutor I, Tutor II, Tutor III).
Nice To Haves
- Peer Tutor: $15.00- 6 months experience; $16.00- 9 months experience
- Tutor I: Less than 1 year experience
- Tutor II: 1-3 years of experience
- Tutor III: 3+ year & experience
Responsibilities
- Tutor students individually and in groups.
- Complete tutor training activities.
- Confer with other tutors and teachers to resolve students’ problems.
- Complete documentation of tutoring activities.
