TRIO Student Support Services Math and Science Tutor
About The Position
The TRIO Student Support Services Math and Science Tutor at the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College will provide academic assistance to students in basic skills math up to college algebra and science courses including biology and physical science. The tutor will also assist students with topics such as time management, goal setting, learning styles, Blackboard, and library resources. Additionally, the role involves assisting with and conducting class pre- and post-assessments, maintaining the cleanliness of the tutor lab according to CDC guidelines, documenting student progress, maintaining attendance records, and communicating with the supervisor regarding absences. This is a less than annual appointment (fixed term) staff position.
Requirements
- Demonstrate the ability to use basic computer programs that are applicable in a college setting.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors degree in education, math or related field-Masters preferred
- Two or more years teaching on the college level-preferred
- Experience developing curriculum-preferred
Responsibilities

- Contact supervisor in advance when unable to come in for work.
- Perform other Duties as requested.
