About The Position
Davey Utility Line Clearance is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer to join their team servicing the Carroll County, Ohio region. This role involves performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. The ideal candidate will have a love for the outdoors and be able to complete Davey's orientation and safety programs upon hire. This is a full-time hourly position with compensation based on qualifications and experience.
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
- Line clearance experience or other related tree work
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
- CDL holder
- Climbing experience
Responsibilities
- Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
- Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers.
- Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
- Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
- Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
- Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson.
