Requirements

A minimum of 2 years trimming and pruning around utility lines.
A minimum of 2 years of experience operating equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, etc.
Valid Class 5 drivers’ license, with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

Utility Tree Trimmer Certification or having the hours to obtain, would be considered an asset.
Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure.
Use industry-standard techniques to safely remove trees without causing damage.
Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes.
Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment.
Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities.
Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats.
Perform other duties as required.
