This role is responsible for learning to maintain sharp tools to perform job tasks correctly, making precision cuts to carcass and separating meat from bone to achieve desired carcass yield. The operator will use powered tools to perform job tasks. Average training time may require 2-3 months. The position requires adherence to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Responsibilities include setting up the work area with all needed equipment, monitoring the production area for trash and food debris on the floor, and performing various other tasks as assigned. The role may occasionally require lifting/carrying up to 50lbs. Candidates must be willing and able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds and work on and around machinery and chemicals. Cleaning the work area at the end of the production shift, including sweeping and spraying work areas, is also required. The position involves performing tasks for periods up to 12 hours on a concrete floor, which may include standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting. Work will be performed in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours in a wet environment. Candidates must be able to complete cycles in less than 10 seconds and have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
