Trim Operator
About The Position
As part of the talented Trim Operations team, you will utilize equipment and machinery in the hand trim area using a variety of techniques. Under the direction of the Trim Supervisor your tasks may include, but are not limited to: reviewing documentation; removing flash from parts by operating pneumatic and hand tools including air chisel, air sander, air file, hand files, air drill, mallet, and belt sander; attending department meetings; completing required documentation; and maintaining a safe, clean work area. Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and physical

Responsibilities
- Perform complete finishing operations on many different parts using a variety of hand and power tools as necessary.
- Carefully position parts against sanding wheel to improve casting surface as required.
- Perform trim press operations.
- Perform inspection common to the classification at required intervals.
- Arrange for periodic quality checks by support personnel such as in-process layout.
- Perform minor preventive maintenance inherent to the classification and equipment.
- Clean and organize work area and equipment at close of shift and at other times as required.
- Observe all safety rules and follow at all times what is known to be safe practice.
