About The Position

The Trim Coordinator is responsible for managing trim usage and coordinating the reclaim process in a production environment. This role involves removing barrels, verifying cheese, maintaining cheese changeovers, and processing data entry related to trim. The coordinator also monitors process trim, handles fish bait, and operates a stand-up forklift to add trim to production lines as needed. Ensuring all process tubs and pans are emptied and designated correctly is crucial throughout the shift. Consistent and reliable attendance is required to meet customer commitments. The position may also involve assisting in other production areas and backfilling other forklift positions. Coordination with the Trim Lead for material preparation is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a stand-up forklift.
  • Must have working knowledge of RF systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety warnings and directives related to machinery and production processes.
  • Can communicate well with people from all walks of life.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance to maintain adequate staffing levels and meet customer commitments is required.

Responsibilities

  • Remove barrels, verify correct cheese, and maintain cheese changeovers on production lines.
  • Process and maintain data entry of trim usage.
  • Coordinate the reclaim process.
  • Monitor process trim and verify the correct disposition of all trim types.
  • Monitor and process fish bait.
  • Weigh, seal, and palletize any barrels for process and/or shred.
  • Operate a stand-up forklift.
  • Add trim to production lines as required to support production needs.
  • Ensure all process tubs and pans are emptied on all lines and designated to the correct process barrels throughout the entire shift.
  • Assist in other areas of production and backfill other forklift positions as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Trim Lead to prepare any needed materials such as barrels and totes.
