About The Position

The Door and Trim Carpenter specializes in the installation and finishing of interior and exterior woodwork, baseboards, doors, and other decorative wood features. They ensure precise measurements, high-quality craftsmanship, and professional finishing to enhance the appearance and functionality of residential buildings.

Requirements

Proven experience in finish carpentry or trim installation.
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various environments.
Valid driver's license may be required.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, shape, and install trim materials according to project specifications.
Install baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, door and window casings, and other finish carpentry components.
Fit and install interior and exterior doors, hardware, and related fixtures.
Install cabinets, shelving, mantels, and custom woodwork.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Repair or replace damaged trim and finish carpentry elements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and other tradespeople to complete projects on schedule.
