About The Position

Skillforce is hiring experienced Commercial Trim Carpenters to perform finish-carpentry work on commercial construction projects. The role requires strong finish-carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. The schedule is first shift, 40 hours per week. Pay is $25–$30, depending on experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial finish or trim carpentry experience.
• Proficiency with common carpentry hand and power tools.
• Ability to accurately read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of finish-carpentry techniques, materials, and installation methods.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and perform physical construction work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with commercial office and retail construction.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial finish carpentry, including doors, frames, baseboards, casing, trim, molding, and other architectural millwork.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install wood and composite materials accurately.
• Install doors, hardware, cabinets, paneling, and other finish components as required.
• Perform layout and ensure finished work meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
• Coordinate with other trades and communicate with supervisors and project management regarding job-site needs.
• Identify and correct installation issues or deficiencies.
