Serve as an advocate, case manager and coordinator of services in situations involving child and family matters. This role involves interviewing clients, assessing their needs, providing case management and intervention, managing cases of tribal members, collaborating with the tribal prosecutor's office, and attending court hearings. The position also monitors compliance with tribal, state, and federal guidelines, facilitates communication between the Choctaw Nation and external agencies/courts to ensure safe homes for Choctaw children, and identifies and refers families to available resources. Developing case plans, maintaining confidential client files, providing court testimony, and conducting in-home visits are also key aspects of this role.
