About The Position

This position involves receiving, docketing, and processing cases for District Court. Responsibilities include filing and recording case pleadings, issuing process as required, setting hearings, maintaining calendars, receipting and disbursing monies, and assisting in the preparation of the docket. The role also involves completing judicial reports and providing information and assistance to the judiciary, members of the bar, law enforcement agencies, DCF, and the public, both by phone and in person. The Trial Court Clerk II will perform other duties as assigned by the Clerk of the District Court.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalency.
  • Written communication skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Professional maturity.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clerical, legal experience.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and computer programs.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with judges, court personnel, staff, public, external stakeholders, and others.
