About The Position

Betts Law Group is seeking a motivated Trial Attorney to manage a complex caseload of plaintiff civil matters from pre-litigation through trial. This role involves drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court proceedings, including jury trials. Requirements

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Active California State Bar license in good standing
3-7+ years of civil litigation experience with significant plaintiff-side work
Demonstrated jury trial experience
Strong command of California civil procedure and evidence rules

Prior supervisory or mentorship experience preferred

Responsibilities

Manage a complex caseload of plaintiff civil matters from pre-litigation through trial.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other court documents in California state and federal courts.
Conduct depositions, oral arguments, hearings, and jury trials.
Develop case strategy in partnership with clients and firm leadership.
Negotiate settlements to maximize client outcomes.
Mentor and supervise associate attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
