About The Position
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced General Liability Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice in Delaware. The Trial Attorney will manage a heavy and complex caseload from pre-litigation through litigation, trial preparation, and trial. Cases may include plaintiff representation in slip-and-fall, security negligence, wrongful death, dog bite or animal attack, and other matters. The role offers frequent courtroom and trial experience, which the firm requires of its attorneys.
Requirements
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the State Bar Association.
- At least 3 years of personal injury experience.
- Ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation and litigation cases.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle pre-litigation and litigation cases on a day-to-day basis.
- Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demands, motions, and memoranda.
- Guide clients through the case process.
- Work with expert witnesses, including conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits.
- Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
- Prepare for and try cases.
