The Ambulatory Triage LPN is responsible for addressing patient's condition/symptoms virtually, giving appropriate clinical direction, education, and recommendation(s) for disposition. The Triage MA/ LPN is responsible for addressing patient's condition/symptoms virtually, giving appropriate clinical direction, education, and recommendation(s) for disposition. When not in triage, The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. As an MA, you will also get to actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.

Requirements

  • Possesses knowledge of necessary computer systems including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and network electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Supports the mission, vision and PRIIDE values of Community Health Network.
  • Utilizes critical thinking skills, education, mentoring, guidance, and interventions to achieve goals of care virtually.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of ambulatory and/or triage experience in a clinical setting
  • Dermatology certification required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Addressing patient's condition/symptoms virtually, giving appropriate clinical direction, education, and recommendation(s) for disposition.
  • Assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice.
  • Actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.
  • Scribe for the provider.
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies.
  • Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload.
  • Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection.
  • Documentation of care using the Nextech EMR system.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols.
  • Process referrals and medication refills.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
