Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in medical field, medical office experience or related position
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, Fax and photocopy machines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • CNA or MA certification preferred
  • Experience with geriatric population and/or caregivers preferred
  • Familiarity with Ethizo EMR preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of all after hours calls, orders, and communication with on-call providers, patients, facilities, and families for Physician Services.
  • Communicates significant findings, problems, changes in condition or environment to primary care providers and other personnel involved with patient care.
  • Performs well under stress and in emergency situations.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for "after hours" including planning, coordinating, implementing, and assisting with the evaluation of the plan of care for patients, families, and facilities.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others and helps others when needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and employee information, sharing information only in accordance with policy.
  • Answers telephone calls after hours and responds to any concern or change in patient condition.
  • Provides support and direction to agency staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and families related to healthcare concerns.
