The Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) program provides crisis and behavioral health assessment, intervention, and stabilization services 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and 365 days per year (24/7/365) for individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The mission of MCI is to respond rapidly, assess effectively, and deliver a course of treatment intended to promote recovery, ensure safety, and stabilize the crisis in a manner that allows the person served to receive medically necessary services in the community, or if medically necessary, in an inpatient or 24-hour diversionary level of care. The Triage Clinician – MCI works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, certified peer specialists, family partners and recovery coaches, to provide core services including crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, and post-stabilization. This role plays an integral part in the daily operations of the Community Behavioral Health Center’s (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) component. The Triage Clinician – MCI serves as the primary point of contact for the MCI program, provides telephonic crisis support, screening, triage, and coordination of timely, appropriate response, secures placements in detox units, inpatient units and diversionary levels of care and coordinates the transfer of persons served to accepting facilities, and provides direct clinical intervention services (including evaluation, stabilization, referral and follow-up) on-site and in the community as needed. The Clinician, Triage - MCI should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing office environment while collaborating and liaising with a variety of stakeholders and providers.
