Tri-Axil Dump Truck Driver
About The Position
Kiewit South Central is looking for a Tri-Axil Dump Truck Driver for the Southeast Connector Project, located locally in Fort Worth, TX. This role involves operating medium to large sized trucks to transport materials between company work sites, utilizing both private roads and public highways. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, securing cargo, verifying delivery instructions and routes, performing vehicle safety inspections, and basic vehicle maintenance. The project is a significant interstate widening and reconstruction effort aimed at improving traffic flow and safety, with major construction beginning in early 2023 and completion expected in 2027.
Requirements
- Valid Class A License (CDL).
- 1 year of driving experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a Tri-Axil Dump Truck.
Responsibilities
- Operate medium to large sized trucks, transporting materials between company work sites using private roads and driving on public highways.
- Load and unload trucks, using other equipment as necessary, such as forklifts.
- Secure cargo for transport, using rope, blocks, or covers.
- Obtain proper and complete documentation prior to moving materials.
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and report any defects, damage, or repairs needed.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or fluids.
- Maintain logs of working hours, or of vehicle maintenance, following applicable state and federal regulations.
