About The Position
Active is growing its team across Seymore and surrounding areas and is seeking local candidates who bring a can-do attitude, enjoy physical work, and thrive working outdoors. If you’re keen to learn, safety-focused, and want to build a long-term career in vegetation management, we’d love to hear from you. This is physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions. You’re reliable, physically fit, and enjoy hands-on work in outdoor environments. You take safety seriously, work well in a team, and are willing to travel or live away from home when required. Experience in vegetation management is highly regarded, but we also welcome applicants with transferable skills from construction, labouring, agriculture, or similar industries.
Requirements
- Current Driver's Licence (essential)
- Ability to live away from home when required
- Physically fit
- Enjoy hands-on work in outdoor environments
- Take safety seriously
- Work well in a team
Nice To Haves
- White card
- First aid/CPR
- MR/HR Truck Licence
- Industry tickets and certifications relevant to your role
- Experience in vegetation management
- Transferable skills from construction, labouring, agriculture, or similar industries
Responsibilities
- Operate vegetation machinery, complete pre-starts, set exclusion zones, and support ground crew.
- Work safely around live electrical networks using EWPs.
- Identify, scope, and plan vegetation works.
- Lead crews on site to deliver safe, high-quality vegetation works.
- Work across all aspects of vegetation management.
