About The Position

Zielies Tree Service Inc. is seeking Tree Care Professionals to maintain powerline rights-of-way in local communities. The company emphasizes safety, quality, and environmental stewardship and offers opportunities for continued growth based on work ethic and performance.

The Tree Trimmer cuts and trims trees using industry best management practices, handles logs and brush, and may apply herbicide as indicated on maps. The role requires attention to jobsite safety, inspection and maintenance requests for tools and equipment, and good housekeeping at work locations and on trucks. The position offers a starting package of $30.33–$41.41 per hour. Work is described as four 10-hour days, with overtime opportunities when available.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Cut and/or trim trees using industry best management practices.
• Use wedges, sledges, and chain saws to fell trees or trim trunks, and to cut and split logs into manageable pieces.
• Apply herbicide to prevent further growth as indicated on maps.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, and/or feed brush into a woodchipper.
• Use best management practices to safeguard employees and the public from jobsite hazards in and around the work area.
• Inspect tools, trucks, and other work equipment.
• Request equipment repair or replacement when necessary.
• Maintain good housekeeping on the truck and at work locations.
• Commit to working safely every day.
• Perform other related work as assigned by superiors.
