About The Position

LSI is seeking a Tree Crew Member (Groundsman) to work as part of a team maintaining landscape health, clearing hazardous branches, and cleaning up job sites. The role supports tree trimming, pruning, and removal work, including live, dead, or storm-damaged trees. It also involves operating ground equipment, assisting with rigging for climbers and aerial bucket truck operators, and clearing and loading brush and logs for disposal. Employees must wear personal protective equipment and follow safety rules around traffic and power lines.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50–80 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in extreme heat or cold.
• Good communication skills to follow instructions and work safely with teammates.

Nice To Haves

• A CDL is often a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help trim, prune, and remove live, dead, or storm-damaged trees.
• Operate woodchippers, brush mowers, stump grinders, and chainsaws.
• Manage ropes and pull lines, and hoist tools to support climbers and aerial bucket truck operators.
• Clear, chop, and load cut brush and logs onto trucks for disposal.
• Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety rules around traffic and power lines.
• Work as part of a team and follow instructions from crew leaders.
