About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts is seeking an experienced Tree Climber to join their team in the Potomac Valley. This role is crucial for a 2-to-4-person crew, focusing on tree removal, pruning, and preservation. The Tree Climber is responsible for ensuring safe operations, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and communicating effectively with the crew, clients, and the public.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
At least 4 years of tree climbing experience
Valid driver's license
Understanding of aerial lift operations
Availability to work at least 40 hours per week

Nice To Haves

Degree in Forestry or Horticulture
ISA Certified Arborist

Responsibilities

Maintain a strong commitment to company safety culture; understand and adhere to ANSI standards for tree care operations; execute safe aerial lift and tree climbing procedures.
Delegate tasks effectively to Groundsman Operations Specialists; follow directions from and communicate clearly with the crew leader and team members.
Properly maintain, inspect, and care for assigned vehicles and tree care equipment.
Maintain a professional image on the job site; deliver excellent customer service; communicate effectively with clients and nearby members of the public.
