About The Position

As a Tree Climber in Training on the General Tree Care Team, you will help preserve and enhance clients’ landscapes by performing climbing and pruning duties using safe and efficient techniques. The role involves working outdoors on client properties as part of a crew providing tree care, including pruning, removals, and cable bracing. You will use climbing gear, chainsaws, and other equipment, apply proper pruning and tree care practices, follow safety procedures, and provide professional client service. This is a physically active position requiring teamwork, safety awareness, and attention to detail.

Requirements

At least 1 year of climbing experience.
Desire to work outdoors in a physically active role.
Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
Willingness to learn and develop skills in tree climbing without spurs, proper pruning techniques, identifying native and introduced tree and shrub species and understanding their characteristics, tree care safety standards, and chainsaw and equipment operation.
Ability to climb trees, work at heights, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
