About The Position

Anderson's Tree Care is a professional tree service company dedicated to providing safe, high-quality tree care services throughout the San Jose area. We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Tree Climber to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about arboriculture, thrives working outdoors, and has the skills to perform tree pruning and removals safely and efficiently.

Requirements

Previous tree climbing experience in the tree care industry.
Ability to safely perform aerial pruning and removals.
Experience operating chainsaws and rigging equipment.
Strong understanding of tree care safety practices.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

ISA Certified Arborist credential.
Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
CPR/First Aid certification.
Experience operating aerial lifts, chippers, skid steers, and other tree service equipment.

Responsibilities

Climb trees using proper climbing techniques and safety procedures.
Perform tree pruning, trimming, thinning, and removals.
Operate chainsaws, handsaws, pole saws, and other arborist equipment safely.
Remove hazardous limbs and trees near homes, roadways, and utility lines while following all safety regulations.
Assist with rigging operations and lowering heavy limbs and sections safely.
Inspect trees and identify potential hazards, defects, and structural concerns.
Maintain climbing gear, ropes, saddles, and personal protective equipment.
Follow ANSI Z133 safety standards and company safety policies.
Communicate effectively with crew members and customers on job sites.
Assist with site cleanup and debris removal as needed.
Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuing education opportunities.
