About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts, a leader in tree care, lawn care, and pest control in the Lehigh Valley, is seeking an experienced Tree Care Groundsperson. This role is for individuals currently in the tree care industry looking for a change and who desire to work in a safety-focused and professional environment. The Groundsperson will be an integral part of a 2 to 4-person tree crew, supporting tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and chipper operations. A key responsibility includes managing communication with crew members and the public while climbers are working at height. Joshua Tree Experts is committed to employee growth and offers paid training for all Tree Care Specialists, covering classroom work, seminars, certification testing, and related expenses.

Requirements

Minimum of two year experience in Tree Care Operations
Valid driver's license
At least 21 years of age
Ability to work 40 hours or more each week
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions
Excellent ability to communicate effectively

Nice To Haves

First Aid and CPR Certified is preferred

Responsibilities

Assist crew with equipment and vehicle preparation daily
Ensure that drop zones are safe for coworkers and public
Perform pruning and reducing
Safely use tree care operations equipment included but not limited to gas powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippers
Load and unload trucks and chippers with logs, brush and debris
Report to work on time each day
Follow directions from crew leaders and climbers
Maintain professional image
Provide friendly and excellent customer service
Maintain and service equipment, as needed
Follow safety culture and safety procedures
Set up safety and traffic control measures for job sites
