About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts, a leader in tree care, lawn care, and pest control in the Lehigh Valley, is seeking an experienced Tree Care Groundsperson. This role is crucial for our tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and wood chipper operations, working as part of a 2-4 person crew. The Groundsperson is the primary communicator with crew members and the public, especially when climbers are working at height. We are committed to employee growth, offering paid training for certifications and professional development.

Requirements

Minimum of two year experience in Tree Care Operations
Valid driver's license
At least 21 years of age
Ability to work 40 hours or more each week
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions
Excellent ability to communicate effectively

Nice To Haves

First Aid and CPR Certified is preferred

Responsibilities

Assist crew with equipment and vehicle preparation daily
Ensure that drop zones are safe for coworkers and public
Perform pruning and reducing
Safely use tree care operations equipment included but not limited to gas powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippers
Load and unload trucks and chippers with logs, brush and debris
Reports to work on time each day
Follow directions from crew leaders and climbers
Maintain professional image
Provide friendly and excellent customer service
Maintain and service equipment, as needed
Follows safety culture and safety procedures
Set up safety and traffic control measures for job sites
