About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Tree Care Groundsman and play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the gorgeous trees throughout our high-end residential customers' outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work with the most breathtaking trees, utilizing your skills in tree care and equipment operation. As a Tree Care Groundsman, you will support all of our tree care portfolio, including: trimming and pruning, and ensuring that all properties are kept in pristine condition. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create inviting environments that inspire and delight.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of tree care experience working with chippers, chain saws, blowers, and various hand tools
- Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks, bucket lifts, or similar aerial equipment
- Knowledge of rigging procedures for lifting heavy objects safely
- Demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely, provide sound tree risk assessments, able to inspect equipment, and provide proper pruning and rigging at all times
Nice To Haves
- Possession of an active California driver's license
Responsibilities
- Assist climbers and crew leaders working on the ground and in the trees
- Safely operate equipment and tools: chippers, chainsaws to perform tree trimming, landscape maintenance, and other groundskeeping tasks on high-end residential estates
- Assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking of various types of trucks and equipment
- Perform debris removal, clearing limbs and brush from the site safely, ensuring the proper implementation of tree felling procedures
- Support landscaping projects by planting new greenery, mulching beds, and installing landscape features
- Perform routine inspections of grounds to identify hazards or areas needing attention and address them promptly
- Assist with the implementation of work zone safety procedures (cones, signs)
