About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Monroeville, PA is now hiring an Overnight Treatment Technician! This position offers a pay range of $21.10 - $40.60 per hour, with the starting point dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling system. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. Competitive shift differential pay is offered for eligible hours worked on nights and weekends, based on a 4-hour minimum. For example, Mon-Fri 6pm to 8am receives a $3.00 Shift Differential, while Sat & Sun 6pm to 8am receives a $4.50 Shift Differential, and Sat & Sun 8am to 6pm receives a $3.00 Shift Differential.

Requirements

Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Responsibilities

Monitoring stable patients overnight, assessing behavioral changes and pain score.
Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
Be proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
