About The Position

Priority Management Group is seeking an RN or LPN/LVN Treatment Nurse for Colonial Oaks Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bossier City, Louisiana. The Treatment Nurse provides primary skin care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of attending physicians, the Director of Nursing Services, or the facility’s Medical Director, with an emphasis on treating skin disorders. The nurse also assists in modifying treatment regimens to meet residents’ physical and psychosocial needs, in accordance with established medical practices, state requirements, and facility policies and goals.

Requirements

• Be a licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in good standing with the State.
• Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have at least two years of experience as an LPN/LVN/RN.
• Be able to identify, manage, and treat specified skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary skin care to residents under the direction and supervision of attending physicians, the Director of Nursing Services, or the facility’s Medical Director.
• Treat skin disorders, including skin abrasions, foot problems such as corns and callouses, decubitus ulcers, bacterial, parasitic and viral skin infections, scaling papular diseases, and benign tumors.
• Assist in modifying treatment regimens to meet residents’ physical and psychosocial needs in accordance with medical practices, state requirements, and facility policies and goals.
