About The Position
The Treatment Nurse provides clinical assessment, diagnostic, management, and treatment services to residents, focusing on specific skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions. The role includes evaluating residents using observation, inspection, and palpation according to the prescribed cadence. The position requires an LPN/LVN or RN license, at least two years of nursing experience, and knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements for clinical services in a long-term care setting.
Requirements
- LPN/LVN or RN license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN/LVN or RN.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to clinical services in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions, including skin abrasions; foot problems such as corns and callouses; decubitus ulcers; bacterial, parasitic, and viral skin infections; scaling papular diseases; and benign tumors.
- Provide assessment and diagnostic services to residents.
- Perform assessment evaluations using techniques including observation, inspection, and palpation according to the prescribed cadence.
