About The Position

At Uncommon Orthodontics, the Treatment Coordinator (TC) plays a vital role in guiding patients through their orthodontic journey, from the initial call to treatment day. The TC is responsible for managing the new patient flow, ensuring quality customer care, and retaining existing patients. This position involves selling orthodontic treatments and services, requiring an energetic individual who can understand and clearly explain all aspects of a treatment plan to patients. The role emphasizes building rapport, coordinating treatment plans, managing follow-ups, presenting financial options, and promoting the practice within the community. Requirements

  • 1+ years in a dental, orthodontic, or healthcare front office, receptionist or treatment coordination role.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Dental Assistant certification, CPR certification, or equivalent credentials.

Nice To Haves

  • Postsecondary education or dental/medical office training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead New Patient Journeys: Make welcome calls, confirm insurance, build rapport, and guide families through their first visit.
  • Coordinate Treatment Plans: Ensure all records are complete and accurate, present financial options clearly, and support same-day treatment starts.
  • Manage Patient Follow-Ups: Own pending and observation lists, fill appointment gaps, and re-engage patients in their treatment plans.
  • Deliver Financial Presentations: Present and explain payment options, answer questions, and help patients feel confident in their investment.
  • Promote the Practice: Build strong community relationships with referring doctors, schools, and partners, and encourage word-of-mouth referrals through a positive patient experience.
