About The Position

Wood is recruiting for a Treasury Trade Finance Lead to join us on a permanent basis. This role is responsible for managing the Group’s trade finance operations, with a primary focus on receivables facilities (both external and internal) and guarantee facilities. As a global organisation, Wood relies on effective trade finance solutions to support international operations, with these facilities playing a key role in enabling efficient trading, enhancing funding flexibility, and maximising the value of the Group’s assets. The role requires oversight of the complexities associated with these arrangements, working collaboratively across the business to optimise utilisation and ensure they operate effectively and in line with business needs. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to wider Treasury activities, providing support across the function as required. Requirements

  • Experience in a treasury function in a geographically widespread industrial organisation
  • Knowledge of how a business relevant regions deliver and can add value to the Group
  • Corporate governance and values framework experience
  • Awareness of external factors and their impact on the Group’s strategy and success
  • Experience of Trade finance instruments and their use in an international corporate environment
  • Management of bank guarantees
  • Knowledge and experience of receivable finance facilities / solutions
  • Previous experience working in a multinational corporation or business
  • Ability to Generate trust and credibility with audiences through continuous, open and consistent communication

Responsibilities

  • Work with a shared services team and various business units to manage the Group’s receivable finance facility
  • Ensure reporting both internally and externally is accurate and delivered in a timely manner
  • Regular meetings with both businesses and provider to ensure maximum utilisation
  • Act as subject matter expert for Group’s receivable facility and engage with various stakeholders
  • Act as the point of contact for receivable finance queries internally for Group
  • Develop full understanding of the underlying legal agreements and working knowledge of applicable contracts
  • Ability to review and confirm charging structure for the facility
  • Work with Treasury, Business Unit’s and FSSC to assist with the establishment of any new Receivables Facility being negotiated
  • Act as a key contact with facility banks for trade finance and guarantees
  • Management of full guarantee issuance lifecycle
  • Review and assist with implementation of bank arrangements to issue guarantees / bonds
  • Main trade finance, bond and guarantee contact for Europe, Middle East, India and CIS, managing guarantee issuance and subsequent management for this region
  • Provide advice on appropriate banks and wording to use
  • Coordinate reporting of all Bonds / Guarantees and cash collateral positions for Treasury centrally
  • Manage monthly bond forecasting process with businesses
  • Ensure business compliance with Treasury policies
  • Assist with bond / guarantee system developments and any new system implementation / amendments
  • Act as support for recharging of guarantee fees internally
  • Assist with Treasury related projects where necessary
  • Administrative cover for the Head of Trade Finance and Risk Management when out of the office
