About The Position

The Treasury Specialist performs cash management and treasury duties for Fastenal’s worldwide locations. The role may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding and training are completed and performance goals are met.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess or be working toward an Accounting- or Finance-related degree, or have administrative work experience.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities.
• Have strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills.
• Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).

• Previous cash management or treasury experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily cash forecasts for domestic and global cash accounts.
• Coordinate and prepare cash transfers in multiple currencies.
• Assist with debt financing activities.
• Analyze positive pay exceptions.
• Gather information for and complete compliance reports for banking partners.
• Assist with bank account setup and resolve day-to-day banking issues.
• Prepare bank fee analyses.
• Identify and implement procedural improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Perform special projects and other administrative tasks as needed.
