Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Finance, Economics, Accounting) or equivalent experience.
  • High School diploma/GED with relevant experience.
  • Seven (7) or more years of Banking and/or Treasury Management experience.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to develop and mentor others ensuring established performance metrics are consistently achieved.
  • Ability to manage matters with complexity or uncertainty, and adapt to new circumstances.
  • Proven experience as a change agent leader and in improving the results and quality of teams managed.
  • Proven ability to develop and drive new business in Business Banking segments.
  • Strategic market development skills and excellent strategic sales skills.
  • Strong management acumen with the ability to effectively lead a diverse sales team.
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced and complex environment as an individual contributor and leader.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills.
  • Must be a highly motivated leader and be able to motivate her/his team and peers and influence partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing a team of Treasury Management Consultants and Analysts within an assigned market or region, aligning to an area of expertise/client segmentation.
  • Driving sales execution, revenue growth, deposit generation, client retention, and strategic treasury management initiatives.
  • Partnering with Commercial Banking leaders and other business partners to deliver comprehensive treasury solutions.
  • Providing coaching, performance management, and leadership support to ensure team members achieve production goals and deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Serving as a key leader in talent development, sales effectiveness, collaboration, and execution of Treasury Management strategic priorities.
  • Leading the market Treasury Management sales strategy to achieve revenue, fee income, deposit, and client acquisition goals.
  • Ensuring Treasury Management Analysts actively engage in the sales process by identifying new business opportunities and delivering on cross-sell efforts.
  • Driving pipeline management and sales execution activities across the sales teams.
  • Monitoring sales production performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Managing Analysts to consistently contribute to achieving team revenue targets and supporting business growth.
  • Developing market growth plans and deepening existing client relationships with Commercial Banking leadership.
  • Promoting proactive calling efforts, referral generation, and treasury solution penetration.
  • Recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining high-performing Treasury Management professionals.
  • Conducting regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and development planning discussions.
  • Building bench strength and succession plans.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive team culture focused on engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Providing guidance and support through organizational and business changes.
  • Creating excellent client experiences while complying with bank risk policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring team members understand client needs in terms of daily operations, cash application, cash conversion, and working capital outcomes.
  • Ensuring team members sell capabilities that are feasible and within the scope and features of systems and processes.
  • Committing to a consistent client experience and synchronization between sales, client expectations, and client experience.
  • Monitoring significant client issues, upholding escalation processes, and owning outcomes for significant client issues.
  • Developing talent by maximizing team capabilities, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
  • Fostering strategic capability in self and others by connecting work to broader goals and communicating team roles.
