About The Position

As a Treasury Intern, you will train in the Treasury Management department gaining experience in treasury operations and procedures while performing hands-on duties. It is intended that the Intern will be responsible for at least one major project.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellence in working efficiently as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Strong personal motivation and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Basic knowledge in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Candidates must be open to working on a variety of projects and tasks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university, or a recent college graduate.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the address listed below.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
  • Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
  • Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with immediate supervisor and department representative to develop a personal training schedule based on education, career goals and previous work background.
  • Meet with employees in the Treasury department and engage in assigned training or work projects.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the bank’s computer systems to effectively support the Treasury Risk team.
  • As training is received, function in the various positions for a period of time using the skills learned.
  • May perform duties as a substitute for an absent employee.
  • Complying with privacy policies and procedures to maintain customer confidentiality and information protection
  • Complying with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all company policies and procedures
  • Completing and passing all required regulatory compliance training as assigned
  • Perform any additional duties and tasks assigned by management
