About The Position

Discover what it’s like to be part of the world's largest privately held commercial insurance brokerage – all while gaining meaningful experience to help launch your career. This internship offers a unique opportunity to be embedded within Lockton’s Treasury team, collaborating on various hands-on daily work and gaining real-world insight into how corporations handle and manage liquidity. Interns will also participate in group projects tackling real-world challenges, presenting findings to leadership, and exploring different specialty areas of the business through presentations and networking.

The program provides a deep understanding of commercial insurance, risk management, benefits solutions, and client service within a leading insurance brokerage. Participants will gain knowledge of the inter-functioning of a treasury department and its cross-collaboration with other business areas. Additionally, interns will have opportunities to build their professional network, access talent development resources, and participate in social and volunteer events. The internship also serves as an opportunity to explore career paths in client service and account management within Lockton and the broader insurance industry.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled college students scheduled to graduate December 2027 or May 2028
• Student studying Accounting, Finance, or other related fields
• Students with an interest in banking
• Knowledge of accounting practices and terminology
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship now or at any time in the future

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on various hands-on daily work within the Treasury team.
• Gain real-world insight into how corporations handle and manage liquidity.
• Tackle a real-world challenge facing Lockton and the insurance industry in groups of 2-3 interns.
• Present findings and recommendations to Lockton leadership at the end of the program.
• Explore different specialty areas of the business through presentations and networking opportunities.
• Gain exposure to potential career paths within Lockton and the industry.
