About The Position

Schimenti Construction Company is seeking motivated undergraduate students for its 2027 Summer Rotational Internship Program. This 11-week paid internship, running from June to August, offers hands-on experience in Field Operations, Business Development, Estimating, and Project Management. The program is designed for top students in Construction Management or Civil Engineering majors, providing them with valuable experience at a leading general contractor in the Northeast. Interns must be able to commute to either the New York City or Rye Brook, NY office locations. Schimenti Construction is recognized for its employee-ownership model and commitment to delivering exceptional results and service, having been named East Coast Contractor of the Year by ENR in 2025.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Construction Management or Civil Engineering program.
Must live within a commutable distance to one of our offices (NYC or Rye Brook, NY).
Strong record of academic performance.
Exhibits passion and drive for the construction industry.
Behaves in a proactive manner with an ability to problem solve.
Can work well on independent projects but collaborative and team-oriented.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Procore is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work closely with knowledgeable teams within Field Operations, Business Development, Estimating, and Project Management.
