The Treasurer is responsible for managing the investment of district funds in accordance with the Public Funds Investment Act and all federal, state, and local policies. This role involves preparing and maintaining accounting records of District investments, banking, and related transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entry into the general ledger. The Treasurer will also assist in bond administration, including debt services, arbitrage reporting, and compliance with reporting regulations. Additionally, the position requires monitoring the District’s daily banking activities and collateralization of bank balances, ensuring adequate funds are available to meet financial commitments. The Treasurer will prepare various financial reports, oversee agreements with brokers, serve as the security administrator for banking systems, and prepare the depository bid while managing banking relationships. The role also involves identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities and cash management strategies, and reviewing/updating District cash and investment policies.
