About The Position

The Tray Packer is responsible for reviewing the production schedule, verifying production plan numbers, and noting any changes related to trays, tray size, or tray printing. This role ensures that the machine, trays, and printer are set up correctly according to the production schedule. The Tray Packer also verifies that proper shrink wrap materials are supplied in sufficient quantities and staged, loads according to procedure, and saves tray pallet identification tags. Recording tag information and weight, reworking damaged trays, and checking machine operation for correct feeding, gluing, coding, shrink film application, and film usage are key duties. Additionally, the role involves checking products for labeling defects, correct UPC and product codes, correct date, correct tray printing for every label change, and any other defects as directed.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand on feet for entire shift
Hearing protection
Steel toe shoes
Basic math skills
Ability to read, write and speak English
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preference for pet or food processing organization experience
