About The Position

Fundamental Administrative Services, LLC is searching for a Travelling Maintenance Manager to work with client skilled nursing centers located across Maryland. This position is based in Maryland. The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Environmental Services in a leadership/supervisory position.
  • Long term care facility (SNF) experience required.
  • Must be able to work as scheduled and on time with limited supervision.
  • Must possess positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations (CMS).
  • Must be able and willing to travel extensively via personal automobile – overnight travel will be required.

  • Multi-site experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring client facilities are in compliance with all policies and procedures surrounding environmental services.
  • Providing training and development for proper equipment use/record keeping, protective gear, safety precautions, and documentation requirements.
  • Touring facilities regularly, meeting with stakeholders, and preparing/communicating scorecards for continuous improvement of operations.
  • Maintaining expense/materials management for each location, ensuring budget compliance for supplies.
  • Reporting, equipment/cleaning product needs and solutions while adhering to all safety precautions at facility.
  • Implementing and monitoring state-wide cleaning schedules to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Assisting with capital improvement projects such as renovations, roof replacements, and HVAC upgrades across multiple sites.
  • Supporting Maintenance Directors and ensuring individual buildings stay within financial projections.
  • Assisting in negotiating regional contracts.
  • Ensuring every building is "always ready" for state and federal (CMS) inspections.
  • Monitoring strict adherence to fire codes, smoke barrier integrity, and emergency exit lighting and overall Life Safety K Tags.
  • Developing and testing disaster recovery plans, including backup generator reliability and evacuation logistics.
  • Implementing standardized Preventative Maintenance (PM) across the region to track the lifespan of facility equipment, boilers, chillers, and kitchen equipment.
  • Conducting regular physical inspections of buildings and grounds to identify deferred maintenance.
  • Recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring local Maintenance Directors.
  • Educating staff on new building technologies, energy-saving initiatives, and safety protocols.
  • Investigating workplace accidents or facility failures and implementing corrective action plans.
