About The Position
Kept Companies is hiring a Service Field Technician to support its national operations. This hands-on travel position involves commercial cleaning, maintenance, and specialty service projects nationwide. The technician will work outdoors in physically demanding environments, operate and troubleshoot equipment, and travel for projects that may last multiple weeks. The company provides training and equipment. Pay is $17 per hour, with per diem while traveling and bonus opportunities. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must have a REAL ID and be comfortable traveling for work assignments.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods and stay overnight as needed.
- Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and perform physical labor daily.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Comfortable working outdoors, on ladders, and around commercial equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety focused.
- Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.
- Must be able to work 6–12 overnights per month, including weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Prior field service, pressure washing, construction, maintenance, or labor experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial pressure washing and exterior cleaning services.
- Complete commercial kitchen hood cleaning and maintenance services.
- Assist with parking lot line striping and specialty field projects.
- Operate pressure washers, striping machines, vacuums, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical and equipment issues in the field.
- Load, transport, set up, and break down equipment at job sites.
- Complete service reports and job documentation using mobile devices.
- Follow company safety procedures and DOT guidelines.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and environments.
- Travel nationwide for projects lasting multiple weeks at a time.
