About The Position

Sunrun is seeking an experienced Solar Foreperson to join their brand-new St. Louis branch. This role involves leadership of installation crews, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and representing the company to homeowners. The position offers significant investment in employee skills and career development through the Power+ program, including cross-training in solar, battery, and service operations. Initially, the role will involve supporting operations in Chicago during the pre-launch phase, with travel and accommodation expenses covered by Sunrun. The position will permanently lead installation crews out of the St. Louis branch once it opens in early 2027.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of construction experience, including at least 1 year in solar installation.
Solid knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), roof construction, and electrical wiring up to 600 VDC / 480 VAC.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must meet company driving standards).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs with assistance), work at heights/rooftops in varied weather conditions, and safely handle ladders.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, or state electrical licenses/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct, mentor, and lead a crew of 3 to 6 installers on residential PV and storage installations.
Manage daily construction workflow, ensuring installations strictly meet engineering plans, NEC codes, and safety standards.
Enforce Sunrun and OSHA safety protocols, conduct safety huddles, and maintain secure job sites.
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for homeowners, providing exceptional customer service throughout installation.
Track and submit project logs, photos, and closeout documentation via mobile field tools.
