Traveling Safety Specialist | Winnemucca, NV
About The Position
HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist to support our growing commercial construction projects in Winnemucca, NV. This role is open to both local and traveling safety professionals who are passionate about making an impact, driving compliance, and building a culture where every worker goes home safe. The Safety Specialist will oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring OSHA compliance, conducting daily safety meetings, completing accident reports, investigating accidents, ensuring proper PPE usage, and performing daily safety audits and inspections of tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of direct construction safety experience required
- ACTIVE OSHA 500 hour in Construction certification required
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards
- Strong knowledge of EHS and Industrial Hygiene safety standards
- Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
- Excellent verbal and written skills

Nice To Haves
- Degree in a safety and or specialized scientific field is a plus
Responsibilities
