About The Position

Heatherwood Construction Company is seeking a Project Manager III to lead high-profile, large-scale commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for driving strategic outcomes for clients and the organization, combining advanced project execution with business development, client relationship management, and team leadership. The PM III will also play a key role in mentoring staff and contributing to the company’s growth and reputation. The preferred location for this role is in the Port St. Lucie, Orlando, or Tampa areas, with the requirement to travel to and work from the Port St. Lucie project site a minimum of one to two days per week, and additional on-site presence as project demands require.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 8–12+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Proven success delivering projects in the $10M–$20M range
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring teams and contributing to organizational growth
  • Proficiency in Sage, TimberScan, and Procore Financial tools
  • Fluency in scheduling platforms, including MS Project and Procore
  • Exceptional client relationship management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-profile projects with significant budgets and scopes (typically up to $20 million)
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor
  • Develop and implement strategic project plans to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction
  • Oversee all project financials, including advanced budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and profitability management
  • Drive project scheduling and execution to meet or exceed key milestones and performance targets
  • Lead contract strategy, negotiations, and complex issue resolution
  • Identify business development opportunities and support pursuit of new work with existing and prospective clients
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company standards
  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers I & II, and other junior staff to support team development
  • Influence best practices, process improvements, and operational excellence across the organization
