About The Position

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. This is a traveling, part-time position with the following schedule: Tuesday: Periodontics at Long Prairie (3424 Long Prairie Rd STE 300, Flower Mound, TX 75028) Wednesday: Periodontics at Wycliff (2525 Wycliff Ave Ste 107, Dallas, TX 75219) Thursday: Endodontics at Long Prairie (3424 Long Prairie Rd STE 300, Flower Mound, TX 75028) We are willing to train the right candidate in Endodontics; however, strong experience in Periodontics is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Requirements

  • Meet the state requirements outlined below: Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays. Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays). Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays. Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations. Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it. New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training. New York: Not applicable. Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays) Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred
  • Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
  • Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
