About The Position

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. If you're looking for a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities, this is the perfect position for you! This is a part-time role, working 6 days per month, traveling with the doctor between the following locations: Willoughby, OH; Green, OH; and North Olmsted, OH. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel between locations.

Requirements

• Meet state requirements for dental assisting, including specific certifications and training for X-ray exposure as outlined for Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, and Texas.
• CPR Certification (required for Georgia, Massachusetts, Texas)
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification (required for Florida, Georgia)
• Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (required for Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio)
• FDOH Permit to expose X-rays (required for Florida, Ohio)
• BORID certification and annual CE requirements (Massachusetts)
• TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners (Texas)

Nice To Haves

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
