We’re looking for a Traveling Laborer that will be responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites, supporting skilled trades, and assisting with the erection of structures and buildings. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of general construction safety procedures.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • 1–2 years of experience in construction or general labor.
  • Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and equipment.
  • OSHA 10 certification or willingness to complete training.
  • Consistently follows OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols to maintain a safe job site.
  • Identifies and reports hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues proactively.
  • Demonstrates proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Arrives on time, prepared, and ready to contribute to daily site operations.
  • Demonstrates stamina and persistence in physically demanding conditions.
  • Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through to completion without constant supervision.
  • Effectively supports carpenters, operators, and other trades to meet project goals.
  • Communicates clearly with team members and supervisors on task progress and needs.
  • Contributes to a positive, respectful, and productive team environment.
  • Ensures work areas are clean, organized, and ready for next phases of construction.
  • Follows instructions carefully to support quality workmanship across trades.
  • Maintains tools and materials properly to prevent waste and rework.
  • Adjusts quickly to changing job site priorities and supervisor direction.
  • Willingly takes on a variety of tasks to support overall project success.
  • Seeks opportunities to learn new skills and improve efficiency on the job.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare construction sites for daily activities.
  • Unload and load materials, supplies, and mixed concrete.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area throughout the project.
  • Assist Carpenters, Operators, and other skilled workers as directed.
  • Provide general labor support for construction activities across multiple trades.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support project needs.
  • Operate jackhammers, earth tampers, and other hand or power tools under supervision.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
  • Report damaged or unsafe equipment to supervisors immediately.
