About The Position

Spotting a solution and fixing a problem is a tremendous technical skillset. It requires diligence, determination, and a knack for knowledge. Canon USA, an innovator of technology, solutions, and services, is seeking individuals who strive for excellence in operational, maintenance, and networking support to help our valued customers with basic technical expertise of Canon-supported products. This is a predominantly field-based role requiring 75–80% travel. Most installs will last 5-8 days, including a weekend. This position is ideal for technicians who enjoy working independently and being on the road.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent + 1–2 years of technical or field service experience.
  • Basic understanding of internet/network environments.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to complete the 20-day PDIF training.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75- 80%), including overnight stays typically lasting up to a duration of 2 weeks.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay active for most of the workday.
  • Comfortable with shift work, installs will involve Overtime and weekend work.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • All applicants must reside in the United States at the time of hire.
  • The Company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cutting-edge Canon equipment and technologies.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through direct on-site service.
  • Receive ongoing training and opportunities for career growth in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
  • Travel extensively within the US to install the Canon Ink Jet Product.
  • Diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system issues using established procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality, professional on-site service to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Complete Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and maintain all assigned Canon property.
  • Assist with escalated technical or customer service issues and guide less experienced technicians.
