The Dental Assistant supports clinicians by delivering the Perfect Patient Experience and helping create lifelong patients. The role includes patient care, office, and laboratory duties; preparing patients for examinations and treatment; and assisting dental professionals with care of the teeth, mouth, and gums. The assistant works collaboratively with specialty dental assistants, patients, and front-office staff, communicating constructively and reliably. Specialty Dental Assistants assigned to areas such as oral surgery may primarily support clinicians in that specialty and may need additional training. This traveling role requires timely travel to multiple offices per day, sometimes several times a day. Travel may be planned or unplanned and may change without notice. A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance are required, or the assistant must have reliable alternative transportation that allows timely travel between assigned offices. The role includes maintaining a clean and sterile environment, preparing patients and procedure trays, assisting clinicians, documenting care, supporting patient education, maintaining equipment and supplies, and complying with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Compensation is $19.75–$27.75 per hour.
