About The Position

Perimeter Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations and support projects throughout the Southeast United States. This role is for a hands-on construction leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys traveling, and wants to play a key role in the rapidly expanding renewable energy industry. The Traveling Construction Superintendent serves as the primary field leader for assigned solar farm perimeter fencing projects. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, ensuring project quality and safety, supporting project managers, and maintaining strong client relationships throughout project execution. Travel is required, with a typical rotation of approximately five weeks on the road followed by one week off.

Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Southeast U.S.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Leadership experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or similar construction management role.
  • Experience in fencing, civil construction, utility construction, energy projects, or general construction.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Experience with utility-scale solar projects.
  • Experience operating forklifts, lull lifts, skid steers, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with Project Managers to review project schedules, documentation, production goals, and upcoming work.
  • Visit project sites to meet with clients, owners, and general contractors to review site readiness, project scope, and scheduling.
  • Serve as the Site Safety Supervisor and Competent Person as required.
  • Coordinate project mobilization and crew deployment.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to field crews and Crew Leaders.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and develop practical solutions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Communicate field changes and scope modifications to Project Managers for change order processing.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control inspections.
  • Verify project quantities, document completed work, and upload project photos and reports.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
