About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Combo Welders for projects located in the Cameron, LA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $52/hour based on experience plus $105/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance welding experience
- Must pass a drug screen, hearing test, and a respirator fit test
- Must pass a weld test: Process: GTAW Material: 2" Stainless Steel - Filler: ER308 - Position: 6G
- Process: GTAW Material: 2" Super Coupon - Carbon Steel - Filler: ER70S-2/E7018 - Position: 6GR
- Process: GTAW/SMAW Material: 2" Super Coupon - Carbon Steel - Filler:ER70S-2/E7018-Position:6GR
Responsibilities
- Lay out, align and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy
- Install, modify, and make repairs to pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums
- Set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment
- Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
- Other tasks as assigned
